Bought frist at Walmart and looked everywhere for it. Love that stuff
This is delicious but the instructions need to be improved. When listing out the ingredients the word separated shrimp should be included. Being in a hurry to cook this dinner for my family after work I mixed the shrimp with the onions , and the Worcester sauce and the flavoring packet. I didn’t realize I needed to sauté the onions first in the stick of butter. It still tasted good but I know it would’ve tasted better had I cooked the onions separately. Furthermore I’m not sure if I didn’t read things correctly but the grits need a stick of butter added. The box instructions did not say to add butter. After cooking the grits and tasting them I realized it needed a whole stick of salted butter. That improved the grits’ taste and velvet mouth feel tremendously. I used salted butter for the shrimp and salted butter for the grits. You really need two sticks of butter for this recipe. I will buy this again and do my own modifications. My family really enjoyed this. It’s delicious..
This is delicious! It is easy and quick. My family loved it!
I have been living in Texas for over 40 years but I grew up in New Orleans. Even though my parents lost their house in Katrina and moved to Baton Rouge I continued to go visit them and a son who lives in Denham Springs. When I go to B.R. I buy box foods to give to my friends and family. This time I bought box meals from the Cajun Spoon and everything I have made is the best I ever had. The flavors are perfect and not to spicy like some of the other brands are. It is the perfect seasoning. It is so simple and easy to make you would not believe it came from a box. I am looking for my next trip down there so I can get more or order online. The chicken and dumings are so good and the shrimp and grits is true Cajun. These are more than 5 stars. My hats off to the maker of these dinners. They taste like you have been slaving over a stove all day but really less than an hour. Wish I could buy it here in Austin.
